Myrtle Beach Grocery Store Robbed

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina - A robbery at a grocery store, La Tienda Viva Mexico, was perpetrated by four armed men who entered the grocery store with pistols and shotguns and robbed the two clerks and the owner.

One man, 18 year-old Deandre Bishop, was later arrested in Georgia after police released surveillance video to the media. Horry County Police Sgt. Robert Kegler identified 22 year-old Irene Oviedo as assisting Bishop by driving him to Georgia to hide after the robbery. Ms. Oviedo was arrested and charged with Accessory after the Fact to a Felony.

In addition, investigators have identified 19 year-old Akiem Cooper as a third suspect and have charged him with armed robbery and kidnapping. Cooper and others are the object of a police dragnet.
