Newtownbutler, Co Fermanagh, Ireland - - An excavator was used to destroy a SuperValu supermarket and steal an ATM recently. Declan McCabe, owner of the supermarket, said police were called at 4.30 AM. Police were notified that thieves were removing the ATM from the shop, however, he said police did not arrive until 12 hours later. The ATM was estimated to contain about $125,000.
Locals were very concerned when the thieves set fire to the excavator only a few feet from a gas station.
The police later arrested three men in connection with the incident.
